Ahead of Zuffa Boxing 07, I travelled to Bournemouth to capture exclusive behind-the-scenes content following professional boxer Aaron Sutton in the build-up to fight night. Working alongside Aaron and the team from Bristol Boxing Gym, the goal was to document the preparation, focus and atmosphere before he stepped into the ring for an event broadcast on Sky Sports and Paramount+.
The day began with preparations around the venue, documenting Aaron’s journey from arrival through to the final moments before the fight. The footage captured interactions with coaches, training routines, warm-ups and the atmosphere backstage, helping tell the story behind the performance. Rather than focusing solely on the fight itself, the video highlighted the dedication, discipline and mindset required to compete at a professional level, giving viewers an insight that isn’t normally seen during a televised broadcast.
Behind-the-scenes content allows athletes and sports organisations to build a stronger connection with their audience. By combining cinematic camera work, natural moments and dynamic editing, the finished video reflected the intensity and professionalism of the occasion while creating engaging content for social media and future marketing. The final edit was designed to showcase both Aaron Sutton’s journey and the excitement surrounding one of the UK’s leading professional boxing events.
